Early 2021 saw the release of singles Aengus’ Fool and Wild Folk, both described as uniquely potent in their musical and lyrical language. New single, Dance Laura Dance, is out now and is receiving strong praise for its "multi-faceted sense of emotion" - A&R Factory. Their keenly anticipated debut EP will launch in September as a six track collection of songs, exploring an affecting and diverse sound. Taking inspiration from contemporary folk bands Mumford & Sons and Fleet Foxes, and combining this with the influence of indie and progressive rock sounds, SWA take you to an evocative musical universe. With an affinity for folklore, mythology and choral music, they embody a sound combining echos of the classical with a warm, youthful yearning. Driven by complex rhythms, soaring melodies and harmony rich vocals, SWA write with a knack for atmospheric baroque pop.
Remember Monday are an acoustic country trio from the South East of England. They focus heavily on intricate group harmonies whilst always showcasing their strong individual vocals! Their gigging highlights include playing C2C Festival at the O2 London, opening the very first Dixie Fields Festival, and performing their original song “Jailbreaker” in the quarter finals of The Voice UK! Their debut single ‘Drive’ shot to number one in the iTunes Country Charts on its first day of release! Since then, they have released three new singles, most recently ‘Version of You’, which is donating 100% of its proceeds to the UK based charity Show Racism The Red Card. They're now lining up new original music to release!
Once upon a time, there was a brooding, beardless man named Tom and a brooding, not-so-beardless man named Oscar. Tom was raised in a land called Frome. Frome was known for its infinite pottery shops, cheese festivals and Glastonbury-going flower-children of the past. Oscar lived his early years deep in the south west of Hobbit country in a little village called Aveton Gifford where mythical creatures spent their days trading limericks and fiddlesticks.
Years later, Tom and Oscars' strange cobbled paths met in a distant kingdom called Guildford. Unable to speak each other's mother tongue, they both sang the first note that came to their heads... at the same time. ? It is said that, in that moment, they produced a harmony that was so rich and unified that even the earth itself had not heard such a sound.
Suddenly, the elements reacted, lifting the boys up off their feet. The sky engulfed them and the wind and rain raced past, hurling their twisting bodies. Still, they sang!
At last, the clouds broke and their breath grew tired. Slowly, Tom and Oscar wafted down like seeds from a maple tree towards what appeared to be... a bed of sand.
They had landed on what would later be known as...
Burr Island.
