White Cloud Fire
Born in 1987, Italian Andrea Brosio joined the world of music at age 16, playing electric guitar in a local band called "Stormrocks". After a serious forearm tendonitis which forced him to temporarily abandon guitar he started to become interested in lead singing.
At age 19 he moved to Finland, and 6 years later graduated as a Pop/Jazz singer at the Conservatory of Jyväskylä. The same year he released his first acoustic solo album as a songwriter. Following this period he took part in various projects with local musicians, forming two rock bands - Grey Heron and The Scions.
In 2017 after completing the Vocal Academy at the CVI of Copenhagen, he took part in the Finnish TV program The Voice, joining the team of legendary Hanoi Rocks' frontman and co-founder Michael Monroe, overall ranking himself 3rd after managing his way to the Final. After the competition, he formed a brand-new band called White Cloud Fire, featuring long-time school friend and song co-writer Ilkka Kainulainen on guitar (Piecemaker, SICI, Von Vida, Electric Beat Orgy) and Jaakko Pellotsalo on bass (Autere, Viilto, Grey Heron). The band's line-up eventually got its final shape with another school friend, half-Italian Paulo Poverini on drums (Lajitoverit, The Leopards). On July 24th, the band released their first single "Libertà" featuring Monroe on all backing vocals, as producer, co-lyricist and co-arranger. The band started performing shows three days later during the Neste Rally Finland.
On September 18th Brosio joined Monroe for his Alasti-klubi TV-episode as a backing vocalist, and on October 20th he made his appearance at Monroe's solo-career 30th anniversary gig with a duet on "Dead, Jail or Rock N' Roll", sharing the stage with Sami Yaffa, Rich Jones, Steve Conte, Karl Rockfist, Nasty Suicide, Dregen, and Eicca Toppinen from Apocalyptica.
In early 2018 White Cloud Fire released their second single "Love Will Give You Bliss", while "Libertà" had its first appearance on Radio Rock. In February the band warmed up for Monroe's band at three different venues, and after finishing the recordings, they finally announced the release of their first LP called "So Far So Good On Planet Earth", scheduled to be out on December 21st. A 9-track album which includes the first two singles, four brand-new unreleased songs, one bonus track and two live covers from Brosio and Pellotsalo's former project, Grey Heron, recorded at legendary Tavastia, Helsinki, during one of the warm-up shows for Monroe's band.
