SMILEY & THE UNDERCLASS

In their first London appearance since the world turned inside out in 2020, London's most chaotic and energetic punky reggae noise returns to their hometown Friday September 10th. Expect unforgettable songs, irresistibly ear-wormy melodies and a universally rebellious energy.

Formed in a caravan below a motorway in 2014, SMILEY & THE UNDERCLASS are a four-piece punky reggae noise from London via. the world. Quickly capturing hearts and minds of the capital's underground, their early performances brought a unique and chaotic energy to squats, protests and takeovers across the city.

In 2017 their D.I.Y. Released debut album “REBELS OUT THERE” catapulted them onto the UK live circuit where they blazed a fire through pretty much any festival and grass-roots venue you can think of. Since then they have found international recognition for their irresistably ear-wormy melodies and universally rebellious anthems with two tours of Japan and Germany.

From protests surrounded by police to packed out venues and festival tents the world over, Smiley & The Underclass carry an urgent message of peaceful rebellion rooted in unforgettable, action-packed, sweat-drenched musical chaos. With their new EP “THE WAY TO THE BOMB” available now, now is the time to tune in...

Revolver 47 - blues rock band from South London. Their live sound combines the classic songs of greats like Elvis and Eddie Cochran, with the heavy guitar and drum sound of Van Halen and Led Zeppelin. In the studio they like to compose introspective songs, drawing musically from an eclectic mix of blues, rock, jazz and classical, and lyrically from the literary works of poets like Sylvia Plath. Their first EP will be out on sound cloud in the coming weeks, and on Spotify in October.

Sonic Property is the thrilling solo rock project from the mind of founder and composer Jacob Walters.

After hearing rock get more and more formulaic and riskless Sonic Property is pushing the genre forward and into the future with elements of electronic, classical and world music blended in with the traditional themes of a rock band. Taking inspiration from the energy of such bands as the Prodigy and Metallica mixed in with the songwriting and sing along choruses of Kings of Leon, Sonic Property will give you the thrill and energy in the live show with songs that can be enjoyed and listened to at home.

Throughout Covid, Jacob has taken this opportunity to grow and mature his sound using the idea of a backing track as a full musical force, adding electro symphonic layers to the primary rock themes, generating power not heard before on a live stage. With a whole pandemic worth of new tunes in his back pocket, Sonic Property is ready to unleash this explosive new sound to the world.

“He leaps around the stage like a demented rabbit and ... a Salvador Daliesque Guy Fawkes.” Jerry Jane’s HVM
