Theo Adler is a singer/songwriter born in London.
He began playing piano and guitar at the age of five and later started writing songs after hearing Ben Folds Five’s "Whatever And Ever Amen.” Inspired by the likes of the Rolling Stones, Gorillaz, Jungle, Bowie, and Radiohead, Theo weaves his own spin into the songs and recordings he makes.
In 2019, Theo started collaborating with Luke Potashnick (lukepotashnick.com) at his new studio, The Wool Hall in Somerset - previously occupied by Tears for Fears and Van Morrison, The Wool Hall has also seen the likes of The Smiths, Joni Mitchell, The Rolling Stones and Paul Weller passing through.
Luke Says - “I remember first hearing Theo and immediately understanding and identifying where he’s coming from… Theo's talent and what he brings to his recordings are truly unique in this day and age. They reminded me of the early Beck and Kinks records at the same time... As we continue to make records together, Theo’s writing goes from strength to strength... I couldn’t be more excited and into what he is doing."
Come to The Fiddler's Elbow on June 28th to hear Theo Adler and his five-piece band.
Wesley Charles
Wesley's taste in music is as mixed as his own heritage. He takes influence from Stevie Wonder, Bon Iver, Quincy Jones, Elbow and Leadbelly.
Originally from Mansfield, he often writes songs that tell stories, but which express a feeling. With catchy hooks and thoughtful lyrics, audiences are singing along with Wesley's songs before they even finish hearing them for the first time.
Will Pope’s music expands the boundaries of a folk and pop crossover by mixing a subtle jazz sensibility with the passionate, visceral sensibility of classic roots music. His technicality is matched with soaring vocals and intricate harmonies stemming from a love of soul. His debut album offers an enchanting glimpse into the wide ethereal spaces and sweeping compositions that create his signature sound.
His debut release “Burying Giants” is the culmination of years of hard work, shaped by the Beijing music scene (Axis Neptune / Su Zixu + The Paramecia / Clustercuss) and artists and musicians Pope has collaborated with along the way.
The songs tell stories of grief, loss and hope in a changing landscape—shaped partly by his experience of living in China's capital, but also through the isolation that comes with a solo artist working on a debut release.
