Kingfisher
What do you get when you mix the emotion of grunge, the swag of 70s rock and the attitude of punk?
You get Kingfisher.
London based 3 piece putting many styles in a big old blender all while sounding consistent and fresh
Sam Gifford
Sam’s songs offer a lyrical depth and maturity that is at odds with his youth paired with an anthemic arena rock sound drawing the attention of 'BBC Introducing’ and earning himself a UK number one on international radio station ‘Amazing Radio'. It is through immersing themes of finding hope, courage, beauty and redemption amid the struggle of everyday life in carefully crafted, atmospheric arrangements, Sam is able to impact and move the listener.
Playing at venues across the UK including the summer festival scene Sam has also taken his music on tour to Germany. Sam is supported on stage by a regular full band line up and his live performances are an energetic combination of tight, musical precision and relaxed, spontaneity.
Following on from the success of Sam’s debut EP “Man Made” which accumulated over 100,000 streams on Spotify alone, 2021 sees the release of Sam’s second studio EP “A Second of Love”. “A Second of Love” promises to be a more mature, adventurous and organic sounding record, discussing love’s permanence throughout time. This is a notion captured by the lyric ‘a second of love lasts longer than years without’. Highlighting that whilst our pain and suffering can be forgotten in the presence of love, love remains our stronghold in the presence of suffering and pain.
THE JEM
Rising up from the depths of the south coast, Jonathan E Mills
And William J Mills present THEJEM, a cross between The Fall / Half Man Half Biscuit, boasting roaring bass lines, biting guitars and vocals that will shake your insides.
Just a rock band? i think not! The band uses a blend of humour and props to engage theaudience throughout the post punk apocalyptic sounds they expel from their instruments.
The duo is sometimes joined by the ultra smug rock star glove puppet Bertie, who when he in not smashing up hotel rooms you can normally find him on stage making a show of himself, not forgetting if you are lucky enough you will be leaving with a free Fly swatter with every performance.
Holloway Star
is a four piece combo mixing funk and disco rhythms within a rock framework. The members have previously released material under various guises. Most notable is the work of keyboards player Guru George who was a founding member of 80’s and 90’s pop act Kissing the Pink who can boast appearances on Top of the pops and 2 top 40 hits. The guitarist was signed to Immortal records as part of Cambio who reached number 1 in the HMV alternative dance charts.
Shane Nolan is the front man who brings original song writing and his dance roots where back in 2004 was signed to Defected records where he penned a dance hit called 'Feelalive' a Gary Newman remix which had many other dj jump on board to cover to name a few the likes of Roger Sanchaz, Fatbot slim. Seb Fontaine.
Shane has this urban grit mixed with soulful melodies he has progressively evolved and does with each new track we create.
