The Recreation

Formed in 2013 with a completed lineup in 2014, THE RECREATION spent their teenage years refining their sound and learning their craft. Their debut single ‘You’ cemented the band’s status as one of Manchester’s hottest acts, and earned THE REC the title of “the baby Strokes” by BBC Introducing’s Michelle Hussey.

Fast-forward to 2019, and THE RECREATION are selling out hometown shows with their electric live show. Combining sonic guitars, brooding rhythm and stadium-ready choruses, the Oldham 4-piece are set to embark on their first tour of the country, ready to meet the masses who relentlessly party to the tune of THE RECREATION.

THE REC released ‘Dreambrain’ at the beginning of this year, recorded at Eve Studios with Charlatans’ producer Jim Spencer. Right now, the boys are gearing up for the next wave to ride as they release more music throughout the year.
