Lyrically, they’ve created a cooperative symbiosis of political themes, sci fi settings and home workout videos.

Cian Downing and his band live at the legendary Fiddler's Elbow in Camden Town! Playing tracks from Cian's upcoming EP 'English Summers' plus some exciting new material, this is not a night to be missed.

A 21 year-old singer, guitarist and songwriter hailing from Stevenage, Cian Downing combines the melodies of nineties and noughties indie acts like The Kooks and Oasis with the lyrical realism of past British songsmiths such as Paul Weller, Ray Davies and Billy Bragg. Having moved to London to start university, he began to write songs about his changing life experiences, as well as political and social events he was observing. He released his debut single 'Nevertheless' in December 2020 in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, and is now ready to take his solo project to the next level. Joined by his friends Jayden Fitzgibbon and Louis Harley on drums and bass guitar, he has recently recorded his debut EP 'English Summers' which will be released on Friday 9th July.
